Elementary Progress Reporting Period 2 - Timeline for Scan Sheets and Progress Reports - YEAR ROUND Calendar Schools Only

The Elementary Progress Reporting Period 2 ends on March 13, 2008 for all Year-Round calendar schools. Scan Sheets will be delivered to school sites beginning February 25 via regular weekly truck delivery; Progress Reports will be delivered to school sites beginning March 17. Please note that weekly truck delivery schedules vary. Be sure to verify the actual truck delivery for your school site.


In order to expedite delivery, scan sheets and progress reports will be available for pick-up from IT Operations (Room 1110, Education Center) on the dates below. To schedule pick up on these dates, please complete and fax the attached Request to Pick Up Scan Sheets and/or Progress Reports to IT Operations at 619-725-7540 no later than 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 21.


Scan Sheets: Friday, February 22 and Monday, February 25
Progress Reports: Friday, March 14 and Monday, March 17

Note regarding Intersession: Delivery of progress reports to Year-Round calendar schools will begin during intersession. If you would prefer to pick up the progress reports from IT Operations, please arrange to do so by completing the attached document. We strongly encourage all schools to pick up their scan sheets and progress reports directly from IT Operations (Room 1110, Education Center).

Change in Regulations for the CAHSEE

Beginning with the March 2008 administration of the CAHSEE, any unlisted accommodation or modification must be submitted to the California Department of Education within 30 school days before the administration for approval. If you have a student with an unlisted accommodation or modification to be used on the March 2008 administration, please contact Erin Gordon immediately at 619-725-5687.

UPDATED Upcoming/Continuing Testing Windows

CAHSEE: February 5, 2008 (English Language Arts) and February 6, 2008 (Mathematics) for Grade 12 (Class of
2008) and Adult Education students only.


Cumulative Literacy Benchmarks for Traditional Calendar Schools: January 28, 2008 – February 1, 2008 (Grades 6, 7, & 8 only). Materials were delivered via truck delivery during the week of January 14, 2008. Please note that scan sheets will need to be returned to the Assessment Services Department by February 4, 2008 so that the district can process/score the assessments and provide results for each classroom and school.


Cumulative Literacy Benchmarks for Year-Round Calendar Schools: February 8, 2008 – February 14, 2008 (Grades 6, 7, & 8 only). Materials will be delivered via truck delivery during the week of January 28, 2008. Instructions for test site coordinators will be included with the materials delivered to sites.


Cumulative Mathematics Benchmarks for Traditional Calendar Schools: January 28, 2008 – February 1, 2008 (Grades 3-8 only). Materials were delivered via truck delivery during the week of January 14, 2008. Scan Sheets will be delivered to school sites beginning February 11 via regular weekly truck delivery; Progress Reports will be delivered to school sites beginning March 3. Please note that weekly truck delivery schedules vary. Be sure to verify the actual truck delivery for your school site.
